We owe it to future generations of students in Britain to continue the fight against the market in tuition fees.

Lord Browne’s recent review published a set of recommendations that went even further than I thought possible: uncapped, unregulated tuition fees. I believe this would be a disaster for fair access. Degrees potentially costing from 7-12,000 a year.

Many Lib Dems and a few Tories have already said they’ll rebel. The new leader of the Labour Party, Ed Miliband, backs a graduate tax making it more likely that Labour will play ball this time.

Every Lib Dem, including Clegg and Cable signed a pledge to vote against any increase in fees. We need to hold them - and every other MP who signed, to their promise.
